For Immediate Release:

The stage is set once again for one of the intense rivalries in Canadian junior football as the Regina Thunder host the Saskatoon Hilltops in the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) Championship Game this Sunday at 1:00 PM at Mosaic Stadium.

The winner will host the CJFL Canadian Bowl Championship Game, as well as gaining provincial bragging rights as PFC champions and a shot at national junior football glory.

This matchup brings together two provincial powerhouses with a long history of hard-hitting, high-energy football.

The Thunder come into this year’s final looking to repeat last season’s success, when they defeated the Hilltops to claim the PFC crown.

“This is the game our players have worked all year for,” said Thunder Head Coach Scott MacAulay. “We’ve built a strong, determined group that believes in one another. The focus and drive in our locker room is incredible and our guys are ready to leave it all on the field and earn another trip to the Canadian Bowl.”

“This is considered the hottest rivalry in junior football, and Sunday is going to be another incredible chapter,” said Regina Thunder President Murad Al-Katib.

“We deeply appreciate our fans, sponsors, and community supporters as their passion and support inspires our team.”

Football fans across Saskatchewan won’t want to miss this Prairie showdown, a battle for pride, provincial bragging rights and a place in the national championship.

Tickets for Sunday’s Prairie Pride Championship Game can be purchased at the gate or online at reginathunder.ca.
