The Regina Thunder are proud to announce that linebacker Stephen Smith has been named the CJFL’s Larry Wruck Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year.
The Abernathy product had a sensational year for the Thunder defence recording 44 tackles and 30 assisted tackles. Smith also added a sack, blocked kick, and a fumble recovery.
“This season Stephen was a leader in both the locker room and on the field,” said head coach Scott MacAulay. “He played every snap with passion and intensity, which is why he is so deserving of this award.”
